Calafate , inside of Patagonia ,  spreading along the south shore of Lago Argentino  ( Argentine Lake ) , is the centre and gateway to exploring the amazing wonders of nature in Southern Patagonia. The Perito Moreno Glacier is a true highlight of this destination and the Upsala Glacier, among others in Glacier National Park ( A UNESCO world heritage , it comprises 759000 hectares ) , is quite memorable. It became into the poster child for Argentina’s tourism boom

In this area of the “ Cordillera de los Andes “   ( Andes Range ) , countless storms have deposited hundreds of meters of snow that , over the millennia ,  have compressed into the Moreno glacier , a real ice  river .
